Brandon Diamond earned his Ph.D. in Science Education and his M.S. in Biology from the University of Miami. After majoring in Biology and Judaic Studies at the University of Miami, he spent over two years in medical school before deciding to become a high school biology teacher. During his six years as a high school teacher, he taught every level of high school biology, up through AP Biology, along with genetics and anatomy and physiology. He also earned an M.S.Ed from Nova Southeastern University at that time. After earning his Ph.D. in Science Education, Brandon became a Visiting Assistant Professor in the University of Miami Department of Biology. His primary research interest is in determining the relationships between teacher knowledge of science content and student outcomes. He has also examined the factors that lead to student success and persistence in a biology program and examining the effects of timing on the effectiveness of online homework. After teaching AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Human Genetics at David Posnack Jewish Day School, he added many varied leadership and organizational roles to his list of responsibilities. Brandon finished his time at Posnack Jewish Day School as the Interim Principal for Fischer High School.

Brandon now uses his long-developed skills in working with people and helping them find resolutions to their problems to Diamond Mediations.
